About Toni

I am a Psychotherapist and Counsellor who specialises in self-worth, anxiety, trauma and body image.

I have 20 years experience in the areas of women and adolescent mental health and wellbeing, and I am professionally trained in Psychology, Women’s Studies, Gestalt Psychotherapy and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy for trauma. I am also a Health At Every Size® (HAES®) practitioner.

The majority of my clients are women between the ages of 17 and 55. I also have some wonderful male clients.
I welcome humans of all sexual orientations and the whole spectrum of genders.

Toni

I have been told people are drawn to me due to my ability to acknowledge and honour their pain, whilst also offering them a new experience and perspective in moving forward in their life.

My Therapeutic Approach

As everyone is different, sessions are tailored to meet your particular concerns and interests.  I use a combination of depth psychotherapy and everyday coping strategies.

My work is heavily informed by current trauma and attachment theory and practice.

I have a special interest in trauma therapy and I work with my clients to both manage strong feelings, and to address the root causes.

I use talk-therapy to explore the underlying causes of my clients’ struggles.
I also work with subtle body posture, facial expression and movement to work through long-held trauma.

Sometimes sessions with me involve using art materials, mindfulness, parts work, inner child work, and experimenting with movement.
